biotope by VIB is a new incubator program for agrifood biotech startups looking to impact people’s lives through innovation. The incubator is an initiative by VIB, one of the world’s premier research institutes and the driving force behind the vibrant Flanders life sciences ecosystem.
The 12-month incubator program gives startups access to high-tech facilities (including labs and greenhouses), a network of experts, and a €250k preseed ticket. Biotope helps teams strengthen both their business skills and technology, transforming ideas into businesses ready for seed funding.
Since no science-based startup is the same, the incubator only works with a small number of teams to offer each a tailor-made journey matching their specific challenges and strengths.
